pissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss ssed

went in to the city today to Baruch college

i was gonna park in a lot but i found an awsome spot on a metter.

i was the first car on the corner in a hugggge spot...so i figure y not just park on ameter and feed it every hour.

as i come back to feed my meter i saw a huge commercial van parked behind me. i thought to my self "how the hell did he get so close to me"

as i came closer to the car i noticed he swiped my whole bumper......
what could i have done i was late to class and the guy wass parked ..i figured if i call the cops i would just waste time and the guy would deny it... if i waited for the guys he would jet... and i couldnt slash his tire cuz i didnt have my trusy knife lol.

so i took it in the brown and left to weep

bottom line: my cars going to the shop to get repainted

You should've waited. I know I would've especioally if it was a truck and it could easily been proven he was at fault. But you should just report it to the companies insurance.

Why didn't you write down the license plate number? and take some pictures of the van? Then call insurance etc after class

exactly, then at least you'd have some compensation by the truckers company. if you don't have the info or a picture of him parked behind you, you're going to be paying for deductible on the repaint...

You should have waited then call the cops.
I remember having something similar but not nearly as bad as a big swipe. I parked my car away from others as usual. I come out of the store and see this pretty red Mitsubishi 3000 parked up on my car so close I couldn't open my door to get in. I see this big red door ding on my car and I'm pissed. Big parking lot and some fool parks up on my car and opens their door on my ride. I stayed right there. Out comes this lady tries to deny it. After a while she admits it. I'm calling the cops. I happen to see one passing by and flag them down. The lady tries to get in her car to run. I jumped behind her car and dare her to hit me. The officer pulls in and tells the lady it's her fault. The evidence is obvious. The officer threatens to arrest the lady for trying to leave the scene. I tell the officer it's okay as long as she pays for my damage. After the cop leaves the lady begs me not to report this to her insurance co. Says she has had too many accidents and they will cancel her if there is one more claim. I tell her I'll give her the chance to pay on her own. I hoped Dent King could get it out for $100 and tell her I'll take $100 but if it requires a full respray, she'll have to pay. She asks me to follow her home to get the money. When we get there she says, I have the money in my bedroom, I'll be right back. She offers me a drink. She returns from the bedroom in a nighty. She offers for me to get comfortable. For a moment I'm tempted. The lady is getting older but she still had big beautiful blue eyes, huge firm ***** and these long slinky legs. She invites me into the bedroom. I get there but come to my senses. I tell her I just want the money. I'm married. She breaks down and cries and tells me her story and apologizes for her behavior. Money is tight and she on her own. I was gonna either take the money or take...you know what...I wasn't leaving empty handed. So I take the money because I am married and I don't cheat.

andddd thats why I choose to park my car farther away knowing I have to walk further to my destination. Sometimes the small sacrifice of parking safely farther is worth coming back to your car the way you left it.

That sucks man.. I would've confronted the trucker and bitched at him.. at least take his license plate number down and call the cops and file a report or something. Well good luck and hopefully your bumper will look like new again. I'd be really pissed that the money's coming out of my own pocket to fix that.

Not for nothing but $250-300 will get you a full bumper repaint..Blending is only as good as the shop thats doing it...I would consider dumping at most an extra 100 and get the full bumper done over with the flex so if God forbid someone bumps any other part of the bumper you don't have the same problem....Good luck either way..

That sucks.

There had to be some kind of mark on that guy's truck. I would have called the cops and gotten him to pay for it. I would miss class for a few hundred bucks.

its a really reputible shop ive seen their owrk its amazing theyve been around for 30years....Fran-Mar collision in staten island, NY

i should have painted the whole thing cause he says his paint is going to be extremly shiny but the other side of the bumpper is old and dull he said hell polish and buff it tommorow and make it work

the reason idid a blend is because i didnt feel like it was nessaccary to work on the car before the winter i figured id get a decent job now and if g-d forbid it gets scratched ill repaint the whole thing

the only reason the job wont be 100percent is because when infniiti painted my bumper they used no flex and cheap clear wheras tihs guy uses a good flex and clear.

fortunatly the cars black and matching the paint will be easy..

unlike my old ivory-pearl that was impossible to blend was if i repainted the whole car lol.
