i didn't get angry b/c i did a stupid thing too... i was making the left and i didn't see him (probably b/c he was in the process of illegally passing a bunch of people on the right but still)

ok so allstate said they can't even get out there to examine the car for 2-5 days, and i'm figuring a new fender is going to take like another 4-5, so i'm looking at 10 days without my G, maybe more

 

UPDATE: $4030 for the damage

allstate is mailing me a check less my $500 deductable. the shop is starting on the car tomorrow.

 

Steve, did they say how they are gonna fix it?

no i have to talk to the body shop on monday morning. i was told by someone that replacing the fender is extremely difficult and aesthetically unattractive (b/c the welds will be seen inside the trunk lid and door seam), so i will see what they are doing with it.

i saw on the estimate that a new 18" rim was $840.
