Re: HELP DIY

I don't know if anyone else followed your work as I did, but you did a lot of the dirty work that the others didn't do themselves. Pull me over to help you out anytime Al, I'll be there.

John

Re: HELP DIY

I think you should have a charge worked out...All I saw in the midst of my own business was you working on one car to the next...That type of dedication and representation of G.Squad is deserving of a few bucks

I dont think it is too much to ask for the kind of work Al is going to do for you also.....Care for your car like his own...

Al ....work a price you feel is fair for the dirty work you do....and next event...that will be promoted as well as everything else...

Re: HELP DIY

Vance, I agree 100%

There should be a charge for this.
Al, I'm willing to pay you back for the install you did yesterday - call a price.
It's really not fair seeing people mingle with others and having fun, while there is one person running around like a madman trying to install all these bulbs and what not, free of charge and not getting his chance to have some fun. (and I'm just as guilty).
Also, Al in the future if you need help, I'll be more than happy to assist (just like at PIP when we installed the short RAM for that Z guy).
I apologize for yesterday and am very grateful and ppreciative.
Again, name a price and I'll be more than happy to pay.

Daniel.

Re: HELP DIY

for those of you that didn't realize, alsg35 was pretty much running around helping people install stuff. alsg35 pretty much started doing installs after getting to atlantic, had a slice of pizza, and then did more installs until about a quarter to 5. alsg35, i think it's fair you charge a nominal fee, that or *teach* people how to "Do It Yourself".

btw, thanks for loaning me your wrench.

Re: HELP DIY

Thanks Al for your help with the clearance light install... oh, and Paul too for his 1 minute quickie install of my clear corners clear bulbs to match!! lol

Paul/Al should work out a bulbs/installation combo since Paul is the one selling all of the bulbs...

Oh, and thanks to Dan for helping me to do my "Window Roll-up Mod"... Now I know how to take apart my door.

I'd be happy to help out in the future meets with DIY's...

Re: HELP DIY

I am more than willing to help! I love doing that stuff and getting my hands dirty.....when they're not clean from washing cars and applying a lil Zaino!!! Anyway, do I think Al should get a lil sumtin sumtin, of course, but what can you actually "charge"? There is now way a few beans in Al's pocket is gonna be woirth giving up all his time! I propose that in the future, we should have a DIY hour, set up like the DD (detailing dynamics) meet where there is a lil instruction, then a go out and DIY. Al could supervise of course and lend a hand, but not do the whole thing, if needed. I think this would work better because instead of peeps just watching Al do it, they will know how to do it themselves and then they can spread the knowledge at the next meet which will relieve some of AL's DUTIES!!! LOL After all it should be a DIY not a WADI (Watch Al Do It)!!!! Just my .02!!! If we have 3 people that know how to change bulbs and they each show 1 person, the following meet we'll have 6 people..(in theory anyway)

Re: HELP DIY

GReat IDEA Drew....

ON another note.....WE will get much more structured in our large events...and I hope all of G.Squad will make an example and stick by it...

there is only one way to do this if we are gonna explode bigger than we already are...peeps like that professionalism....

The structure will be laid out and carried out...I am sure that the members will do what is asked of them....but i'd also like it to be passed on to those that are new and a chip in from ALL THE G.Squad members at the events...

I'll get deeper into this when I contact everyone....but the structure needs to be spread throughout the ENtire membership ......at the event.....so people that dont know ....se how others are reacting and acting...and get with the program...without request
