Finally, I got back in!!!.. I had some trouble with the wireless network at home. My 14 year old brother fixed that for me. LOL. Young kids know too much. Buy welcome wakelawyer. I am 5 minutes away from the Pepboys on RT 440. I will be there at 10 Sharp. If any one needs to get in touch with me b4 then my number is 201-424-1235.

Also. I bet i am the only one this happened to but. Has anyone had their gas tank lid freeze on them. I could not refill on gas yesterday. Luckily i was close to home. RIght now my car is in my garage. I am planning on taking a electric heater and let it heat up the latch for a while. Hopefully it will open up and not do any damage to my paint. Or my brother suggested to keep pouring hot water over the latch.

I hope one or the other works. And the big question is. Has this happened to anyone yet?

Thanks Nj. I took my car, flat bed last night to Lynnes. I am waiting on Al to give me a call back (He is the service manager I deal with). He took care of my car the first time so I am hoping for some good news this time around. When I got to Lynnes I spoke with a mechanic for a few mind you it was 855. 5 minutes until closing. I told him I poured hot water on the outside of the car to warm it up. I let the car run for 3 hours, idle so it can warm up. Still the gas latch was frozen up. Then I took my brother's car and went to Pepboys and bought de Icer. That did not work. So it is 630 at night, I call the emergency road side assistance. Check this out. The girl who answered I gave her my information then she said ok, a flatbed is on its way. Then she calls me back and says that I have to pay for it. I was gettn pissed off by now and so I let her have it. Her manager said i have to pay for the tow because my car has gas in it. I told them my car is at the empty gauge. If she wanted I will keep pressing my foot on the gas pedal until the gas runs out. THen she is like ooohhh,, duuhhh,,, yeea ur right. So, I did not pay. My car is there now. OOh to get back to when i spoke to the mechanic who was there he said that the latch is controlled by a motor, so he thinks the motor went bad. I will post up and let everyone know any updates. For any potential buyers, the infiniti roadside assistance is a must have i think. Just make sure you know exactly what they are offering. It is 743 am EST. I am expected to hear from the dealer by 9.

Question. While on the phone yesterday the lady told me that some dealers have a drop off. Does anyone know an infiniti dealer who offers drop off. I know lynnes don't. I will prefer to take my car there , but has anyone else dealt with alternates?

By hook or crook, I am going to make it to the meet.

Nice, I am back in business. I just got off the phone with AL from Lynnes, my car is ready. However, that problem was cauzed by some technical thing. They are working on getting it taken care of. I will see everyone on Sunday. As I mentioned in the other thread, if your car needs service, Lynnes is one of your best bets.

no charge on the tow. However, I did thought about asking them for a credit on my $1.69 for the antifreeze i spent. The problem was an actuator which froze. They cleaned up the car, dressed the tires. And AL from Lynnes had it ready for me the next morning. However, I just have to wait a couple of days for the new unit to come in. He said it will take about 1 hour to install.
