I hate aluminum pedals!

Ok, you've gotten me hooked and I've started off with some smaller additions to my car, still a way to go before I'll catch up with others but working on it. Installed the clear corners and Nismo radiator and oil cap, all simple changes. Waiting on the battery cover for the right side which I hope will go as smoothly.

However, I'm ready to toss my pedals. I was out there for about 45 minutes and made no progress. Any suggestions? I think that a heat gun or something similar will be necessary to put on the brake and clutch pedal but also having issues with dead pedal and removing gas pedal.

Unfortunately can't make it to Saturday's BBQ but looking forward to seeing the pictures online.

Russ

Very simple: fill up a bucket with hot water and throw in the pedals for 15 minutes to get them soften - should make the job easier.

The dead pedal comes out by giving the plastic screws a turn or two and then pulling it upwards (almost prying it out of place).

Hope this helps.

Good luck.

Thanks. I'll try the hot water and see how it works. I am also recovering from a minor surgery so thought the percosets may have something to do with the problems. Not complaining, it makes failing a lot more fun!

For the gas pedal, there's a clip that latches... just pop it, and the thing will slide right now. If ya need help, bring it out to the June 4th meet and I'm sure someone will help ya out... I did Paul's in 5min. =)

In addition to the hot water, I used 2 flatheads (small handles) and worked the lip around the pedal. PITA, but u'll get it!

Just to show you guys - You do have a choice. There are other pedals out there. These are perfect for heel and toeing.
