Automobile Magazine's 20 Best Drives (Mt. Washington)

The last issue I from Automobile Magazines was a "20 Best" Issue...

On Page 74, they listed the 20 best road to drive on in the world... including the Nuremburg in Germany, Cali's Pacific Coast Highway, etc etc... All locations were too far away... but...

The one that stood out was Mount Washington Auto Road in Hew Hampshire.... Since it's relatively close to us New Yorkers. It's the HIGHEST peak in the Northeast, and it's supposedly a beautiful scenic drive up the mountains with many photo ops.

Hey, if those "car nuts" at Automobile Magazine loves it... then there must be something great about that road to make it in their all time Top20.

here is the link to Mt. Washington Auto Road:

Bad news is: It's 8 hours away... I plan to do this sometime this year as a weekend trip.

Throwing out ideas for fun... since my G is a garage queen, I'm looking for any excuse to take it out for a spin... a long one albeit.

as i was reading i thinkin to myself sound like a nice road trip(nice scenery, lots of G's, pics, etc)......then i get to the part where you say its 8 hours away(i read it twice) i almost fell out of my chair.

I also checked out the pics on their website and the place looks awsome but i think i stick with Bear Mtn. which we gotta do again in upcoming months

I rode it on my Harley last summer while out for the Laconia Rally. It's a great little drive if you're in the area!

Hey, I'm just looking for fun and seeking some thrills once I get some new mods on the car and to go have some fun. Always looking for some nice roads to drive on...

Yes, the Bear Mountain/West Pointe thing we gotta do again... That was awesome last Spring.

Its definitely a good idea, but we'd have to work out logistics and a route to take along with detours to get us out of the cars and doing something else. Sorry, did I hear someone mention strip clubs?
