If you are selling the car, buying a carfax and sending a copy for your potential buyers would probably help move the process along. And it's cheap. You can go on any city's Craigslist and search the car sale section for people who have Carfax accounts that will look up and send you your Carfax report for $1 via Paypal. Neat little trick!
