Not to mention the second "R33" from the top in your other cars for sale list is not even a Skyline. Look a little closer man. You sure seem to know all about GT-R's when you can't even tell a Silvia from a Skyline.

audi is right...federal law has prohibited the further legalization of this "gray market" vehicle, and about 95% of the ones that are selling right now have slipped into this country through the backdoor. There were a good number of gt-r's that were confiscated by the gov't. and held because motorex falsified documents to legalize the gt-r (they presented all three gens 32-34 under the same docket for the r32) and the gov't. decided that was not allowed. eventually, the owners who had purchased these vehicles and got them taken away fought because it was not their fault that motorex had sold them the cars under the understanding that everything was legal, and i guess the gov't felt bad and released them. only those gt-r's are 100% legal. you can take your chances of buying a cheaper one and risk the gov't. confiscating it, only to lose 20-30K in a heartbeat. these vehicles eventually end up in the scrap heap. take a look on the gt-r forums on freshalloy, this was a very long thread that had alot of gt-r owners scared. you can also search for the docket info on the government website and see exactly what is going on in terms of recent issues. i recently saw a purple R33 go for 54K which had more motorwork, but the body was in so/so shape, and fully legit. 900 whp on a stock block? that definitely is not what you get when you buy a g35. attesa on a 10 year old car, but infiniti markets the technology as new on the fx's and g35x's, i personally thought that was a sham. you can get a new gt-r when it comes out, but thats a totally different vehicle. sold worldwide, i don't think it'll be as much of a cult car as the older gens already are. plus its performance has not been established yet, so we don't know if its potential will equal or surpass the older GT-R's. historically purists always remnisce of the older generation cars because they aren't as watered down. i owned an 04 coupe, and my brother has an R33 and although its older, its leagues ahead of the G in terms of performance, interior room, and TRUNK ROOM (hahahaha!) good luck with the sale!
