I want to sell my 03 Auto Sedan $15,500 OBO with body kit
it's a hassle to register a car with a salvaged title when buying from a 3rd party, and getting insurace isn't all that great either - at least in socal. So yeah, the value does drop quite a bit.
Did you ever put it on eBay? Looks like it's been a few months and you've been unable to sell it. Most likely your selling price is too high for the condition that the car is in. Salvage title hurts alot. Plus, it doesn't help the value of the car when you bought it and turned around quickly to sell it, regardless of the reason. Potential buyers see that as a negative. You may honestly say that you are preferring to get a Lexus instead, but some may see it as you've discovered a problem with the salvaged car and are trying to unload it. From a buyer's perspective, I would be weary of buying it--especially with the CEL on too. You may want to lower your asking price and bottom-line to reach the bargain-hunter crowd--maybe $12,000. Not flaming you or your car, but just giving constructive feedback to help you sell it quicker. Good luck!
Thanks for your input..
To be honest I was not really trying to sell it.
I never put it anywhere else other than graiglist.,,,
I still have to repaint my bumper and then I might put it up localy,, I honestly think that i can easily get $15,500 with a body kit and all the upgrades..
I just recently added slotted and drilled rotors and New brakes and red calipers. Looks real sharp!
Feel free to call me with offers before I repaint the bumper

Smart move to fix the CEL. I'd say leave the bumper alone (unless you're painting it yourself) and sell for what you can get. Body kit, upgrades, repainting won't add much to the value of the car, so you'd essentially be throwing money away in the end.
