$4000 is high, especially for a rebuilt title.... $2000 is more realistic, if even that much. Anyway, good luck to your buddy with the sell...

really? hmm... it was 4000 OBO so i guess there's room for flexibility. He bought it like 2 weeks ago for a project car, and found a 300zx he couldn't pass up so he's trying to sell this one. He paid around the 4000 area too...

Yeah, 4k is pretty high... especially for an auto with a rebuilt title. Great project car though!

yes--actually it's very high. Did he check the value on Edmunds.com or KBB before putting it up for sale (or buying it for that matter)? Unfortunately, he got ripped off and grossly overpaid for it. Should've done research before buying.... Anyway, Edmunds shows that a 93 240SX SE with that mileage in "average" condition is only worth about $1500 in a private-party sell. The real issue is the "rebuilt" title; even if the car is clean, that title tarnishes the car, saying something really bad happened to it at one time....Also, by your friend selling it after just 2 weeks of ownership (on top of having a rebuilt title), most smart buyers would be weary because of the short duration of ownership. The question with that would be, "What if he bought it and now found out that there's something very wrong with the car?" Not saying that your friend is untrustworthy and out to rip someone off, but as a buyer, I'd walk away for those 2 reasons. His expectations are too high.... Just trying to educate...

+1 on being super high. you can find 5 speeds clean titles for less than that
