Hi, I'm looking to trade this for a G35/350Z/G37, must be manual transmission, and CARB legal (or easily converted) and the perfect car would be fitted with a Stillen or Vortech blower or any other CARB legal FI, but those are the only ones that i know are CARB legal off hand in CA.
What I have to offer:
The car has a ton of parts on it, only the best, no expense was spared in this build, and there was meticulous attention to detail. A large amount of the parts on the car are custom one off pieces that were fabricated from scratch, so your not going to see another spyder even remotely close to this one. I have had the car since 2005. The car has never been abused and i have kept the milage very low, especially since the 2zz-ge engine swap (found in the lotus elise/exige, among several other vehicles) and then the addition of the turbo setup. The turbo setup was designed with engine longevity and safety in mind and there are many fail-safe's in place and it is also tuned very conservatively and with a large margin of safety. I know this car inside and out and have done nearly all the work myself aside from the custom paint job, which was a VERY thorough process. All panels were removed from the car and painted piece by piece, pictures of the process are available. But to give you an idea of the attention to detail that was put into the paint job, if you take the interior door plastics off and look on the inside, they are even painted there! It is literally a full color switch that took over a month to complete. There is 6X,XXX miles on the car, but only about 15k miles on the 2ZZ swap and only about another 5K miles since the car has been turboed. The car is extremely fast and extremely fun! It's making around 300hp and is currently running 12 pounds of boost, but the car only weighs about 2300 pounds (car ran a 12.6 on street tires, but this thing is designed for the twisties). The car has a clean title and has never been wrecked. I've had previous offers of 20k for the car, so that is roughly the value of it, but if you have what I'm looking for then I'm willing to deal. I have the title in hand for a quick transaction. thanks for looking, any questions, just ask.

-2ZZ-GE (8600 RPM rev limit) 25k miles @ time of install, another 15k on it now, so roughly 40k total miles on it

Wheels are now Matte Black, all stickers removed, and front mount heat exchanger is blacked out

Edit, just realized the Vortech blower is CARB legal too.

Werent Elise engines just toyota corolla engines with lotus covers to start out with?

It's actually a yamaha specked head, and it's found it quite a few different cars from Toyota, Lotus, and even Pontiac, It's first placement was in the 00+ Celica GT-S. I think there was a variant of it that was in a couple years of corolla XR-S models, but i want to say that it was slightly different, i think it may have been drive by wire and had extra EGR ports coming out by the exhaust manifold area, but dont quote me.
