No machine washes. It might not mean anything to a dealer, but I would expect it to make a difference to a private buyer. (It certainly would to me.) In my eyes it's no different than Mobil 1 oil changes or regular maintenance. The car is not a daily driver, so I had the luxury of choosing when to drive it. Although the threat of rain never prevented me from driving the car when I wanted to, it wasn't my preferred transport on rainy days. I realize these things do not affect the "book" value, but they certainly indicate how the car was cared for. All else equal, I think it's safe to say most buyers would lean toward a pampered car.

Thanks, Corey. No, it hasn't sold. It's currently at a local consignment dealership. I'll see how that goes for a few weeks. If it doesn't sell, I'll just drive the car for the summer and try again next spring.

 

Damn I wish this was in my Budget. And i'm local.
