i got some local quotes from dealers and one from another dealer; bearing in mind that they are in the buisness to make money but the offers were offensive esp considering the neighboring lots or in some cases on their on lot there was an 03, 04 G for 7k to 9k more than what they were offering me.

I am not going to get into a rush. I'd love to be in the coupe but if driving this sedan is the worst I have to endure then let me suffer. I am buying parts right now that will work on the sedan and/or coupe so once this becomes settled business I will start installing my stuff.

yeah... it seemed there was a premium put ont he MT as well. regardless of what popular opinion was though I was going to have a sedan with a MT.

My lincoln LS killed me with the AT issues.... rather subscriptions.

It just so happens that when you want to sell your car, no one want to buy it for a fair or even below KBB price. When I bought mone, this color combo was in extreme high demand. What is more frustrating, is that you have people asking you to take special pictures and so forth, but never even have the respect to answer you back....

Yeah I think this is why most sales people turn out to be aholes after being in th biznez for a few years.

What frustrates me is if you take the car to a car lot they will offer you 19, 20 maybe 21 thousand and turn around the next day and mark it up to 29k and have a buyer drooling over it in no time.

I feel you Foo, I use to be in the car business for several years. I even put myself in college while working full time.

ehh spring is in the air so everyone is preping for cruising season. Lets all hope they are careful because 9 months from now they could be shopping fo rthe sedan and welcoming a new family member into the house.

There's a couple of things working against you here. The market for 6MT sedans is much smaller than 5AT's sedans - you need to find an enthusiast who is going to want it. The coupes have a higher residual than the sedans. Also, KBB is notoriously high on price. Edmunds shows a dealer retail of $29,021 for your car with your mileage and options. Private party of $27,172. Also keep in mind that you are competing with new G's which qualify for financing rates of 1.95% to 2.95% from Infiniti, vs 6%-8% financing someone would pay on a used car. And if this is the only forum where you are listing the car, you are already posting to a limited marketplace. The link to your car pics doesn't work either. You may want to consider selling without the mods. Some people think that mods are a sign the car was ridden harder than a car without mods.

FYI - I sold my bone stock '04 6MT sedan w/15K miles on it for a hair over $23K a few months back.

have you tried a cars.com thing? 2005 g35 sedan residual is the highest in its class according to kiplinger's... you should be able to find a good buyer if u can hold out
