Talking Cross Country Roadtrip :)

Moved to San Diego from Pittsburgh this week, but actually left from Philly where I picked up my Aussie friend and took a 7 day road trip to get the G here and it was a sweet experience. Stopped in Chicago, Rushmore and the surrounding national parks over to Yellowstone, down through the Grand Tetons. Managed to get 2 tickets in the parks, but at least they don't carry points or affect my insurance. Then stopped in Salt Lake City for an oil change and wash ha. Then to vegas, long cut to route 66 then finally ended in San Diego, my new home. Enjoy.

Wow what a road trip. I need to do that someday as the scenery looks friggin amazing. Oh and btw the cops didnt add on a fix it ticket for the window tint and no front plate when u got the speeding tickets? Or were u in a area at the time where its legal?

I may be wrong, but I heard that it just depends on the state where the car is registered. I knew a guy who had an RSX get his plates registered from a state where tint was legal, so he doesn't get tickets over here now.

ouch! i have to be more careful. these were national park cops so they were federal which has nothing to do with state's so the fines are a lot less no petty little add on charges as you can see and carry no points. good place to get caught i guess but in pennsylvania you don't have to have a front plate which sucks that i have to get one now and they didn't seem to care about the tint either, both cops were actually quite nice considering my speed. i hope the cali cops don't make me take it off, that would suck.

oh in cali u gotta watch out for everthing man
theyl get u for anything they possibly can, its police fundraising around the clock here for them. they are pretty strict about tint and plates here but i havnt gotten those yet luckily but about 3/4 of my friends have who have tinted cars. and i wouldnt mount the front plate. looks much better w/o it imo
