Grass is always greener dude. Had a modded supercharged grand prix auto and wanted maunal. Now I have 6mt and get lazy sometimes and want auto. The manual is just so much fun to drive when you want to DRIVE it. If I had the choice all over again, with the auto or manual g, I would deff get the 6mt again. It is a sports car, and it needs the manual to ring all the performance out of it. Plus the manual is a few HP more. Not the smoothest tranny but not bad either. This is a real car with real power, not a four banger ricer, stronger tranny needed, so a little effort shifting is inevitable.
Cheers,
I know it's a tough call. But I just love the stick, for the times you get stuck in the "stop and go" sure it's a pain sometimes. It's times like that that you could be driving an SUV...BUT…it's the days of open roads, warm weather, windows down, rowing through gears, highway merg’s, on ramps, exit ramps, street cruising, racing (track
), the FUN FACTOR, total control of your little rocket ship that make it all worth while. I recommend the 6MT

It's either you're a MT or an Auto person. There is no Traffic in the world that can stop you if you really want an MT. I live in NYC so stop with the traffic alibi.
If you drive a lot of Freeway then MT is the best, I tend to fall asleep when driving an Auto on long driving (to Boring). Can't beat the feeling of downshifting just to keep you awake.

I drove a friend's 350z with the auto/ autostick. I think if I ended up with an auto for whatever reason, and after I got used to the autostick part, it *might* help curb the need for a stick, but if I was to buy one, I'd buy a stick... and I sit in traffic every day.
Don't dwell on it, just buy an auto and a manual. You can have the best of both worlds.
Granted you will need a second job, but at least you will avoid having any regrets. If you manage to pay them both of you will have great credit.

I had the same dilema when I bought my '05. I got the MT and I'm loving it. This was the first car I had with a manual as my last (first) car was an acura integra (auto). My personal take on it is save the automatics for when you're older...no offense to anybody...

No You Didn't.............
I bet when I'm 70 i'll be driving Auto too
I had both, the 5at and the manumatic is pretty good, but nothing compares to the stick if you really like to drive. I feel a big difference in the way the car pulls in the 6mt. Another benefit is you can shift into 6th gear on the highway and get better mileage as the rpms stay below 3000 at 80mph. If you can deal with some traffic, get the stick. There is also a substitue tranny lube that I have that the former owner who worked at Infiniti put in that makes the clutch/shifting effort less stiff...
Get the stick. . . i commute through downtown los angeles everyday, traffic here is horrid. Driving stick in traffic will become second nature. . . dont be a pansy, do whats right! Get the stick.
