Bling Bling Yo - I painted my plenum :o)

So this weekend I decided to paint my plenum. I like the aluminum look, but didn’t want to polish it. Next best thing...high temp almuminum paint

Here’s my plenum timeline, I need to put a second coat on her after a light sanding. But so far I like it.

Stock

No cover, no paint

Painted

Certainly looks better.

First thing that came to mind was "you cleaned it?"

Thumbs up

All I got to say is:

1.) WOW WOW WOW!! What a nice difference, I like!
2.) I'm going to the store, be back soon, LOL!
3.) I would NOW, suggest getting the "HALF COVER", to show
that baby off, but still give it a nice "covered and not too plain look".
The 350Z covers I mean, and they fit of course....

Great job Man, Enjoy!

Optional
I dig it crazy. Nice job.

BTW...don't you guys love how the sixpack 'bulges' on the cover completely contradict the functional fore-to-aft bulges on the actual plenum? Are they trying to fool older American iron muscleheads who pop the hoods so that it looks like something they're familiar with? Just seems silly to me to have designed the cover like that.

^ I actually like the "Buldges" as well. It's a "give and take" from this silver exposed look or the cover.

I'm going with the CARBON FIBER Buldge Cover. Too Nice!

Thanks Everyone, really appreciate all the support
This forum rocks, glad to contribute. If you have an AVIC-D1 check out the audio forum, I modded my NAV disc.

https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-video-electronics/100330-avic-d1-background-mod-o.html

If you look to the left of the last plenum pic, I did the oil catch-can mod, works great!

Looks better although I honestly can't say it looks much different. Unless I'm comparing the wrong pics or something...
