WOW!! Kinda hostle in here Yes the 2006 taillights will work on the 03-05 models. The trunk button will be there but it will be useless. Those with 2006 models already...it will be a simple plug & play and yes your trunk button will work.

The lights looks great. I wouldn't mind spending 400.00 on some amber in my lights, personally I think the all red rear lights are dull. **** I see people spending 900 dollars on retrofits on their 03-05's, when all they have to do is pick up the 06 lights for a fraction of the cost, WHY? hmmm.. maybe to DIFFERENT!
Uh projector "retro" happened when there were no retros. You see anyone still wanting to retro 03-05 headlamps?

I think it's a waste, however I dont tell someone who's free to do what they want, that their opinions and reasoning is stupid or wrong...

$0.02
So I can't have an opinion about someone's opinion? What did I say for him to spend his 400 dollars on huh? Did I force him NOT to buy the lamps. Read the bottom of my post to "understand"

This guy at work, just bought an IS250, and first thing he did was put some tape on the rear signals to make them look red instead of the orange. It does look much better, and just like him, I don't care for orange. I wouldn't spend $400 to get orange or get rid of orange, but everyone is free to do what makes them happy. As long as my car looks good to me, that's all that matters. Be nice people!

^ yea the orange turn signals on the new IS look ugly... i bet they'll change they'll save that for changes to the next model year or something to inspire more people to buy them..maybe even a clear turn signal with an orange bulb instead.

^ because if you have money and want to spend it then its your choice and no one elses....as long as your happy with what you bought and knew what you were buying then dont worry about the other person...self happiness is sometimes more important than those of others.

my $0.02

Of course he should do what HE desires. I was posing the question from a 3rd point of view.

Not worth it IMO. Only you and maybe 20 other people from this site will even notice the difference.

People who exported the G to europe needs those to pass inspection. Other than that...its not worth doing.
