Rey,
I didn't get a chance to talk to you much but I wanted to tell you that I liked your rebadging. I'm not into the rebadging thing but if I were to do it, I'd have to go all the way like you did.

Did you pay? After the whole waiting forever for the food fiasco (at least we had the beer to keep us busy), the manager came out and told us the bill was on him. At the time the bill was only $80 but by the time we left it was $140 I think.

Yeah, i was very suprised how good the rebadging on Rey's ride looked. Also the grounding kit and nismo intake were very sharp.

I never heard the bill was that much, but i did get the word about it being free. I remember the manager coming over. It might have been just after you left doc!

How much of the meet do you actually remember? You're starting to scare me!

I think it's a conspiracy, anup. I heard someone in the back saying wait for the doc to pay, then give everyone else the news... ;-)

Anup I'm sure you'll find a way to turn that $20 tab into a $200 tax write off!

Re: Jax, FL meet - MAD coupes pics

well red willow.. theres the mileage to the bar... food expense.. mileage back.. hmm maybe i'll get 200 out of it

anyways did anyone see that g35C on atlantic on the flatbed, that would be mine.. i picked it up at 7 pm from my oil change and got about 100 ft on atlantic and all the brakes locked up and the vdc, abs and slip light all came on at once, i was like 1/2 min walk from the dealer but had to get it towed, the manager bruce was real nice since the service dept. closed, got me a loaner right away and said he had never seen such a thing. dam glad it never happened on I-95 or something, imagine trying to stop behind a g35 c that has all 4 brakes lock up! we were all watching the front bumper as it was lifted and lowered and there is like 1 mm gap between the concrete and the bumper, on the way down, he had to put extra wood under the tires to raise the car or it would have scratched the bumper... the funny thing... even though i could have died from someone hitting me from behind...(ok exageration.. but possible)... is that he pulled the car up the flatbed and when it came down, it wouldnt roll off, he was lost and confused since it was in neutral...and im telling the guy, man the brakes are locked. so he just dumped it in the middle of the parking lot and the manager said the service will figure it out since no one could push it into a parking stall.

anyone had something like this happen?

Wow that sucks. I'm getting Rhino ramps this weekend so the dealer won't have a chance to mess mine up.

Re: Jax, FL meet - MAD coupes pics

i tried the rhino ramps on mine, a friend had a set, they were too steep, the G was gonna rub. I bought the yellow steel ones from walmart, and have ordered the extension kit. I'll let you know how it works out.

Re: Jax, FL meet - MAD coupes pics

i forgot to tell ya, i have a jack and stands, if you wanna do any work you can borrow them from me, i used em to service my bmw since the oil changes there are $126, and tune ups etc are like $600, for this car, the 34.95 oil change with semi synthetic feels like free.

the jack is the most important, stands can go up high, and you put them where you would jack up the car behind the wheels, but the jack has to go pretty high to be comfortable under there, i guess ramps go higher.
