Same with me, ripped and dealership won't cover it, only 24k miles and an 05 coupe , the service department gave me a 1-800 number for the main customer service center and said to ask them , and if they said "ok" then the infiniti I went to will replace it, try and get that number from them

if not I'll post that number here when I find it

Not necessarily. When I was in Europe, I rode in many Benz E-Class taxis with leather. The leather was peeling off the doors and such. Granted it was a taxi but still....

Yes! That is the same place mine is worn down.

I used to keep my work keys in my back pocket and was blaming myself till I felt the poorly designed plastic piece under the leather.

They have records of all the problems { TSB } so fix them for the prior year. So far I have had the rear axle fixed. This Wed. I am having them fix the seat clicking/rocking noise, seat tear, & engine ticking caused by the fuel damper. Still love my G & love Infiniti service, But the Corporate offices need to step it up.

More info about your fuel damper issue, pls. Is this only in the 298hp motors?

Thanks.

Wow, I noticed this problem months ago but just thought it was poor quality leather. The TSB points it out so I am taking my car in next Friday. Has anyone had this performed yet? My dealership said they had to inspect it first and I am worried they won't perform the work. I do have 33k miles on my car, but the TSB shows the problem so they should still fix it.

They should repair this for you under warranty.

I had my seat bottom and foam cushion replaced a year after I took delivery of my car. The foam was too soft, and the cushion collapsed and was wrinkling the crap out of my side bolster on the door side.

The service writer took one look and said,"this should never happen to a car of this quality" He immediately went inside and ordered the necessary parts, and they replaced them, along with my seat track assembly, since that was creaking and clicking as well.....

I'm sure your good to go....they will fix it with no problem....
Good luck

I brought the car to the dealer and they saw the rip in the leather. ( 10K mi on my 05 ). They ordered the leather and will do the TSB to fix. They also replaced the fuel damper. I am very happy with them so far. Thanks you Devin Infiniti CT

The leather that they replace is a single sheet for the entire bottom half of the seat, yes?
