Quick question on timing/octane

If I get my timing bumped to 17 deg at the dealer, I should be okay with 93 octane gas correct? The only other mods I have is a mrev2, z-tube/K&N. The tech says that I need really high octane gas. I told him to do it anyways. TIA

If you've got no pre-ignition now, and you continue with 93 octane, my guess is you should be ok.

Been reading a lot about pinging, tho, lately......G/L
