Factory Shift Light.

Hey guys whats up I am new to the forums and I just bought a 06 IP G35 coupe and I have to say that I love it. I was driving the other day and started to play around with the button to reset the mileage driven and came across a different set of numbers. It said 3000. Once my revs passed 3k a little red light lit up right under the REV sign in the RPM gauge, Probably something old but since I owned a SRT-4 previously I thought it was pretty cool... Let me know if anyone has done this or knew about it.

There used to be a shift arrow in my '84 Mustang. I thought it was annoying as I rarely, if ever, shifted when it told me to The shift arrow is still there in the new Shelby GT 500 Mustang, although I hear it is programmable.

The shift light indicator was very useful during break-in period, but now I have it set to 7k so it never turns on...

break in varies for some... some dont do break in some do. some say 1,000 miles then the manual says 1,200 miles.

in your manual it tells you how to change it i think u have to hold it till it starts flashing and then by pressing u get 100rpms and by holding it jumps by 500rpms after u set it to what u want it to be just leave it and it stops flashing on its own,
i got mine at 5,800rpms so i get a nice warning at 5,300 with the light flashing to be prepared for a shift soon
