TPS light on again - how common is this ?

My TPS light was on when I took my car in for an oil change.
I was told they re-programmed it, and when I drove away, the light was off.
That was May 31.
Fast forward to today: while driving along, my TPS comes on again.
My Infiniti dealer is not very close, and it is an inconvenience for me to have
to go back again for the same problem (but I know I will have to).
Has anyone else had continued problems with their TPS ?

I've had my TPS come on numerous times in the past and everytime I would pump more air and it would go away after a little driving. Anyways, I thought I would just get it reset at the dealership as well, but ended up I had a nail in one of my rear tires. Those things can be a little sensitive at times, but they do work. I would not only bring it back to the dealership, but check out the tires as well. Better safe than sorry.

I have aftermarket rims that do not support TPS. My sensor will go on only if I'm driving long distances and going pretty fast (over 70 mph). This doesn't mean my tires are underinflated.. it will turn off once you turn your car off and turn it back on.

Nex time you fill up, stop by the air pump and check all your tire's pressures.

seriously tho, that TPS is so damn sensitive, the change from hot to cold temperature sets it off, I get it a lot when I'm out around 1-2 am and its "cooler" outside, the next day, its off.. :P

Tpms=tire Pressure Monitoring System. Yes It Is Very Sensitive And Will Come On If The Pressure Has Changed. This Is Especially When The Temperature Changes And Gets Cooler Outside. Check For The Correct Pressures In All Tires And It Should Go Off After Correct Inflation.

I checked all tires, and pressure is about 32 in each. All was fine until yesterday, when for some reason, the tps lit up.
The dealer checked for nails in the tires, but found none when they
re-programmed the tps.

Optional
I say if youre checking your pressure weekly like everyone should anyway, you dont need the TPS. You can always pull out your gauge cluster and remove the LED light for the indicator. I have no idea where the chime is for it though

uh...that's why they created the tps. We don't check out tires weekly so safety measures are created when things like tire pressure falls below normal.

Maybe the light came on because you didn't put a cover on your TPS report? Did you get the memo?

Make sure the pressures are ok....If they are then there may be a faulty sensor.
