I may be getting my G35 replaced. :o

I may be getting my 2005 G35 replaced.

We'll see what they say by tuesday.

This is the third time i've brought it to the dealership since thursday of last week for the same problem.

1st Visit: They repaired the problem on the unit in the car.
2nd Visit: They replaced the unit that they repaired
3rd Visit: I dropped it off and now contacted Customer Affairs opened a file and am seeking out what can be done. Will take 1-2 business days to review the file and them to contact me.

I have no qualms with keeping the car provided the issue is resolved, but I'm not going to keep bringing it back to the dealership.

This is a little depressing, but I'm sure it'll work out

I go to start the car and it cranks then doesn't start. Looking at the dash where it shows what gear the car is in is backlit, but it doesn't show the car in park. When it does start and the gear indicator is not showing the car shifts hard. If the car sits off(sometimes 5 minutes sometimes 30) and I go to start it the indicator is back to normal but the Check Engine Light is on. I had brought it in when the problem was hapening and they couldn't even see the transmission when they hooked up their scanner to it. It was like it didn't exist. The car would drive, but it felt like it was in 4th or 5th gear. Wouldn't shift, nothing.

The first time i dropped it off(Wednesday Afternoon the 7th) they cleaned the ground on the circuit board behind the dash, the service writer there said there was a TSB for that to be done. I searched online but didn't see anything, unless I need to have the code to find it. Got the car back the next day(Thusday the 8th), drove it to my dads house to pick up some mail, got back in the car and it happened again. I drove it straight to the dealership. The next day the service writer calls me and tells me that they are going to replace the circuit board that sits behind the dash, but it needed to be sent to New York first to have the odometer calibrated then shipped here to be installed. Tuesday I picked the car up after they'd replaced the ciruit board and supposedly solving the problem. Then Yesterday I had it occur again when I was going to start the car. I called my service writer and asked him if I should bring it in yesterday, he didn't have a loaner car for me so he said to bring it in this morning and I made a 9:15am appointment. So now, for the 3rd time in a week I have a Loaner car.

I've not read that TSB, and I've heard of that issue happening with maybe one other member's transmission.
Any existing TSB's will be found HERE

G/L with the fix or replacement.
