Im pretty sure there is no way to turn off VDC for good, technosquare makes ECU mods for our car and they can do just about anything. Im sure if you asked them they could reprogram your ECU so it would always be off.

i could be wrong though go to www.technosquareinc.com and email them with the question.

I used the PAC TR-7 module to change my VDC default to OFF. It's about $25 shipped and is an easy 4 (really 3) wire install.

our car is designed to have VDC on upon starting the engine everytime. The only way to start your car with it off all the time is to have that module...it's really simple to install.

I have seen way too many destroyed G on this forum and that a lot of people have said that they wished they never turned it off or avoided accident with vdc on and thank it. This is a safety feature unless you took professional driving lessons and really learned how to control your car well I sugest you leave it on.

I might have to check into this... Wouldnt be a bad thing if you know how to drive a RWD.

ive been TRULY saved by VDC... a "big" object flew out of a truck bed on the freeway and it was raining. my natural instinct was to swerve, which i did... VDC kicked in and gained slight control. stupid me, after i swerved, i noticed it was only a plastic milk gallon jug...

I only turn mine on when it's raining or I'm going over 60mph. I've driven FWD all my life so I'm not comfortable driving without VDC at high speeds yet.

Are you able turn VDC off while you are driving or do you have to stop the car before turning VDC off?
