Congratulations! Not many people can say they did what you did.
How did you get your G to Germany anyways?
Any mods on your car?

I'm in the USAF. The US Government usually ships your car to and from Germany, but I actually purchased the car from someone who shipped the G over himself. He never let it out of the garage, which is how I ended up with it.

I haven't modded my car at all, but I do plan to. I noticed that you have a supercharger on your G, does it make a substantial difference in performance (sounds like an obvious question, right?)

Stock tires and pads? if not what did you use?
Looks like earlier than 05, so I'm thinking you have the brembos.

It's really good to hear a real world track experience (and what a track!) cuz I never take the G35 more than 6/10th's on the street and have another car for the 9.5/10th's on the track. maybe one day...

So it didn't plow like a heavy car?

Everything is stock except for the tires, which are a full set of PZero Nero M+S tires, which did very well by the way.

The car felt pretty nimble, but there was a bit too much body movement than I'm used to. The car did everything I wanted it to. It did push, but only at the outer edges of the G's handling envelope. Unlike my Spec V, when you lift off the throttle the car SLOWLY started to regain front grip (the Spec V’s front end would literally SNAPPED back into line.)

I didn't even know you could get a G35 in Poland. That's why I took the picture.

There's actually 4 or 5 G35 Coupes on Ramstein. I convinced a guy in my unit to go back to the States and get an 05 G35 and have it shipped back here (for about $600). I'm all about sharing the fun.

that ascari is a bad car...

but for the money - the c6 z06 is (in the ranking, it was only listed as a corvette z06 - could've been c5?) about less than half the $ of all of those cars listed... even 1/4 of some of them. great deal.

thanks for the pics and info. you've got to take a vid of you doing a hot lap. that would be awesome!

I agree with Jermey Clarkson about most American cars: they suck. And it isn't that Americans can't make great driver's cars, they just don't. But Clarkson was having a hard time disliking the C6 and the C6 Z06. In fact, he said that the new Z06 was "at home" on the track, which is something that I never though I would here Clarkson say about an American car. Because of this I find myself seriously trying to buy a Z06.
