Heavy Vibration Between 80-100

My shift **** has always been a bit shaky with vibration, but lately im getting heaving vibration around 80 mph than it gets a little better, but overall the car shakes like crazy. 100 times more than it used to and at 80mph its def. the worst. i searched and found some stuff regarding this but no answers.... Im also having a rattle around 2800k rpms. car is 6 spd 2003 coupe.... Anyone? Thanks for any advice!

it shakes like a 92 camry would at 80mph if the camry was going 125. Really though, its pretty noticable in the shift **** steering wheel, passengers more times than not will even ask why it shakes. Car drives straight.... No pull either direction.... But.... Did just put my wheels back on, BUT it was doing it on my stock wheels too.... unless both were unbalanced, which is another possibility but i feel like its more than just that... Almost a tranny mount or something but than i think it wouldnt really be that speed sensative. Becuase at 80 its def the worst.

Im scared to bring it to infiniti just yet.... Springs are off too and the stock suspension is back on too... got it realighned not to long ago too.

I have 60,000 miles too, what about struts? they wouldnt cause this would they?

its definitely your wheels/tires

you need to buy hub centric rings, they give you a better balanced wheel/tire assembly, and eliminate any vibration

your tire pressure could be off

or your wheel(s) might be bent

but yea def, take it to the dealer/shop ASAP the problem will get worse

Make sure the lugnuts are torqued down correctly too, not too tight or a nut a little loose somewhere. You probably know this, but when you are tightening them make sure to tighten the lugnut on the opposite side of the one you just did.

The dealership has a machine that "road force" tests your car. I just did this the other day. 1st they'll balance your tires (requirement for test) then put your car on the machine. It is amazing, can tell you if you have worn out wheel bearings, etc. In my case I had the left rear wheel out of balance, now I'm good to go. Since it was still warrantied, didn't cost me anything except 1.5 hours of my life.

I agree with this man right here.
75% of the time it's improper fitment of the wheel(no hub rings/ improper lugs)

you need to buy hub centric rings ---- What exactly are these?

Im going to bring it in tomorow, thanks for the responses, ive been away for a few days.... Ill have them check the balance, etc.

Tire pressure is good, even all around 35 psi... I have DTM wheels so im assuming nothing will be warrentied but that is not too much of an issue. thats the price of modding, but they were just re-done by wheels of america, no dents in them, tires are brand new in rear and about 80% in the front... could be out of balance, hopefully thats it... thanks for everything

its most likely your rims/tires? have you hit a side walk or a big dip? you might have dented one of the rims...

You could have a U-joint going bad, clutch disk going bad.
at 60k i would bet you have just some simple drive train problems.

hmmmmm smart one!!! Im assuming ill lose all power steering, but will i lose the brakes?..... Im assuming ur saying go 90, turn off the car, than check, than quickly, clutch in start and brake hard not to ride it for too long... popping into gear will prob be very stressfull to the gear im assuming...
