Trade in value

Alright, I love my G but I want to start saving money for a 2nd home. So, I'm thinking of moving to a new Civic.

I have a 2003, 6mt, 33,000 miles, everything minus nav, IP, mint condition.

Not sure what meathod I'll use to get rid of it, Maine isn't so good for selling G coupes.

How much do you think I should get for it?

Thanks guys, I already know about these sites. In my experience, they give you a ballpark but don't capture what is really happening in the real world. I like edmunds the best.

I was just wondering, of the people who have recently upgraded to a newer model, what did they offer for your trade?

The resale on your G isn't going to net you much more than it will cost for a new Civic. Factor in taxes etc I don't see this as a gold mine for you.

no I wasn't using the funds from the sale to help me. I would save about $3000 a year in gas and maintenance. If you just look at tires, I got about 15000 miles out of a set and they cost $900 for new ones. You can expect a new set every year. So I pay $2.50/day just for the tires on the damn thing. I'm not going to own the car and not drive it like it should be driven. I'm just looking at my options... but damn I don't wanna give up my baby and have someone else enjoy her.

You won't get as much for the tradeoff when you're going to a Honda to sell your Infiniti. You're better off selling it back to Infiniti because ultimately it'll go back to them. ie - if you wanted another Infiniti, the dealer would have to give a high trade in value for your car as an incentive.

From my experience, dealers and most private party buyers use kbb than what is happening the real world. It's the safest bet.

I have a 2005 Coupe 6mt fully loaded except navi with only 9,000 miles on it and the Ford dealership said its worth 25,000. I told them I'm not going to bend over and get raped and walked out.
