rims should be the first thing u should get as a mod.. so there goes ur 3k.. the other 1k.. u could get springs.. SP grill.. tints.. clear corners..

save up for next summer so u can get some performance mods.. intake, mrev, sway bar, ground wires.. etc..

I don't think rims/wheels as a mod cause it does nothing to give your performance, only looks. Springs, intake, exhaust, the basics that everyone does to their cars.

These cars are just simply dont respond well to bolt-ons. Ask yourself, do you either want a really nice looking coupe, or do you want speed? If you want looks, I believe you should start off with the normal...

-Tint
-Clear Corners
-Lowering Springs
-Gialla Grille
-New front bumper (unless you like the 06 Sport bumper, thats if you have a 6MT)
-New Sides (unless you like the new 06 sport sides)
-Save up the rest for rims later on...

If you want power and speed, save up alot of cash and go turbo, ST or TT, depending the amount of power you want. If I were you, Id go for the looks department because to me this car is decently quick. You can also do minimal bolt-ons like MREV (do your research on), Hi-flow cats, and maybe an Injen CAI for sound....

Now, if you guys can give me a quick run down on which springs, exhaust, intake and sway bars you like and why.. I like the stillen exhaust ans z tube, but don't know much about springs, shock and sway bars. I don't want to void my waranty. Are there any type of suspensions that are warranty safe? Also what what would be a good sway bar in your opinon?
THanks!

the reason y im tellin u to go for looks is bcuz nowadays, there's so many g's.. don't you want ur car to stand out and look unique? i thought about having performance mods first.. i did the ztube/popcharger.. nd after awhile.. im like "my car still looks stock".. so i'd figure to do exterior mods because that's when people will go "wow"

I agree 1,000,000,000%. The VQ is a very hard engine to extract any power out of with basic bolt ons. Unless you are gonna go FI, I would start with suspension and wheels as you first mods. Other simple little mods like tint, grill and clear corners can easily be done for a small price too. Set your G apart from all of the stock G's out there with some phat a$$ wheels and a nice drop.

congrats on your purchase

i think you shouldn't touch your car until you get used to it, like 3-4 months down the road.
during those months, search the boards, gain some knowledge about mods, brands, how much power they give, and pricing.
all it takes is a little time, but spend like an hour a day searching around, then you'll know exactly what you want.. because right now it seems like you're rushing to it.
right now you want the Z tube, but after 3 months maybe you'll change your mind and hear about the stillen intake, or the pop charger.

also, right now you might want more performance, but down the road, you might think it has enough performance, and you want your looks to be unique, so you want to a body kit or rims.
spending sometime and researching will save you a lot of time and money, and research what YOU want to get, and what YOU like.
get used to the performance of the car now, then add some bolt-ons or even FI.. then you'll really notice the difference.

everyone has pretty much said it one way or another, u have to decide whether u want ur looks or performance.

if u want performance save up for FI SC or T or TT w/e u want that will cost about 7k

if u want looks then u definitley want to start w/ Rims, tint, clear corners(if u like), kit (again if u want a kit), drop it

the thing w/ mods is that there is no limit, u do one mod ur waiting to do next and before u know it u spent a $hit load of money

so pick out what u want, do it, and stop, or else u will find urself broke. Cause this is a beautiful car and the #1 thing u should do is enjoy it. peace and gl

By the way, is it a 6MT (hopefully so), if so, the single best bang for the buck performance mod is MREV2 + 5/16 spacer. Do your research on this mod and you'll see plenty happy people.

If you want looks then do what suits you. Clears, the key hole cover, tints, etc, etc....

If you really want to go faster, go to a driving school. Get some track time in. Learn to use what you have.
