Got the car on June 21st and it's current at 3130. 3130 miles / 86 days = 36.4 miles a day.

I put 2200 miles on it in 5 weeks.. Its been mostly cruising.. I am self employed and have an office in the downstairs of my house... so no work commute for me! I also have a second car, an Altima that will serve as my winter car, although the G will still go out in good weather to keep everything running good. Its not good to leave a car sitting so I am told... I am shooting for the 8k mark a year on the G .. with the second car I should pull it off with no problem...

You just have to take proper precautions to winterize it before letting it sit.

There's quite a bit of work involved in properly winterizing a car, but it's definitely worth it.

But some times I drive my winter car to help with gas and miles.

2006 / today 15,470.00miles I think??? I've had it since Halloween night 2005.
Sounds like my room-mate in college. I went to visit him a few years ago. He had like 30,000 miles on his car. I was like, how long have you had your car? He said he had it for like 7 months. I asked how many miles he had on the car when he bought it. He said he bought it brand new.

He explained that he visits/picks up his GF every day, and she lives in LA, and he lives in Orange County. (For those not from LA, that's a lot of f'n miles. I think in his case it was 90 miles round trip)

My commute is 80 miles/day. One of my coworkers lives across the street from work, but he still drives to work I joke with him that it's farther to walk to the end of the parking lot (where we all park), then it is to walk to his house.

I make fun of my coworker that drives in from across the street to work. Especially when it's cold out. There are times he spends like 5-10 minutes warming up the car, clearing the frost/ice/etc off the windows.... He could've walked home in the same amount of time
