Sorry, never did try to drift it.
Back OT: You should enjoy the S2000. I don't really like convertibles much, so a hardtop would be a must for me. As far as poor weather, I'm able to drive around on summer tires all year, so it would be great out here. We might get a few days of snow during the winter, but it doesn't stick long.

Ive been thinking about the same thing all week, I could really use an older SUV/truck for taking trips and towing my boat. I would hate to give up the G more than anything, and think I could pick up an older vehicle for towing and lease a G for the same monthly payments I have now. I dont know if that option would work for you, it looks promising for me.

i love hondas and especially s2k. i considered buying a used one b4 i decided on the G. however, not having the back seats and less desirable as a daily driver was easy enough of a decision to choose the G. however, i would LOVE to have an s2k as my weekend toy. when the weather is nice, i get so jealous to see those drop top s2k. i love convertibles. that thing is just amazing. it handles like a dream and the transmission is the BEST..bar none.
but i still love my G tho

Well, I don't know if you should do it or not but if you do the s2k is a great choice. My friend just got a used one and when I took it for a spin it was really fun; it felt like I was in a go-kart. If you ever have a chance to ride it, I'd strongly advise you to hop on it. IMHO, it is much more fun to drive than our g35's.

stupid tax's killing people left and right.
I am actually amazed that many of you like the S2000.. besides it's a honda, it look hella nice compare to the Z4 in my opinion.

Personally... I like the s2000 over a Z4.. not ******* on the Z4 or anything, but if you're considering performance orientation along the lines of road race, drift, and just modding in general, it is more user friendly. IMO the Z4 doesn't really tickle my fancy? Not to offend or be mean, but when i see Z4's I think more, "Mid-life crisis" car.. sorry. Very humbling and admirable doing what you're planning on doing for your GF too (if you plan on going with it).. realizing that helping others out (especially ones that you love most) means that it's not all about yourself, and that scares people.. lol. Good luck with your situation anyways.

Former S2000 Owner
I owned an S2000 for which I traded in in June to by my G coupe. I miss it, but still love all the luxuries and amenities the G has. Both are great looking cars. The first thing I noticed about the G is how big and heavy it was compared to the S2000. Through 4 years (and countless autocrosses), the only thing that went wrong was I had a nut replaced on my axle that was clicking when I first started off, other than that, no complaints. One day, I will buy another!! You won't be disappointed. This is absolutely no storage though.
