Curb Hopper Outcome...

So as a lot of you know, I spun out and slammed into a curb, screwing up my left rear axle and suspension or whatever. Infiniti dealership called me today and said I do need a new left rear rim, and new axle rod, and some other parts. The total repairs comes to around $4,000...worst-case scenario, $4,900. Fortunately, they are going to overnight the parts and I will have my car by this Wednesday or Thursday. Also, the guy assured me that the area of the car will be back to normal 100% as they are just replacing everything that was harmed. So all you current and future G owners, just so you know, don't get stupid with your G, always try to be in control, as this is what happens....this was the most expensive right turn I ever took.

And don't turn off the VDC if you think you might not be able to keep 100% control !!

You did have it off, right?

Dealer told me to leave the VDC on until well after I have the car for a while. Then gradually get use to the VDC being off. He said most people don't realize how much the VDC is working for them and get in trouble when they take it off.

Yeah, VDC was Off. I don't turn it off because I can handle the car like a pro without it...I can't. I turn it off because when you take the car to redline in 1st and 2nd gears and drop it in the next higher gear, you get some wheelspin and traction control cuts that off sometimes. If I had VDC On, I truly believe it would have saved my ***. Either way, what's done is done and I just have to go from here. I just HOPE the cost is best-base scenario (which I believe was $3,200, service guy said...worse-case scenario was $4,900).
