A good body shop will match the paint. Your color does not come straight out of a can, colors are mixed. A good painter will spray a test panel and adjust the mix accordingly.

there was some construction on the side of the road, I don't know what they're doing.

Well I'll probably have the side fenders repainted also if wet sanding it doesn't work.

What's the average price of wet sanding and buffing the paint?

I know the quote I got from the body shop I went to is too expensive. They quoted $150 to wet sand and $300 bucks to repaint.

Hey, if you're going to wet sand or even respray, try some stronger chemicals first. What's it gonna hurt? I had a car that was drive by tagged with spray paint. A little acetone and then a quick rinse of water took it right off. Didn't seem to harm the original paint either. Try some in an inconspicuous spot (as if there is one on our cars ) and see what happens.

Good luck.

It used to be the main ingredient in nail polish remover. Like a really strong alcohol. Strong enough to dissolve super glue! I think you can get it in quarts or smaller at a place like Home Depot, or some other place that sells refinishing supplies.

Acetone

Oh ok, I'll give that a try since I don't have anything to loose anyways. Thanks for the tip again!
