350z racing pedals on 03 coupe

Long story short...I just traded in my 2003 Max and got a 2003 G35 coupe instead. I had the 350z pedals installed on the Max but forgot to take them off before I traded it so they're gone now and I'm looking to replace them from courtesyparts.com. Anyway I learned the hard way on the Max that there was no need to pay $140 for the entire gas pedal assembly, all I really needed was the pedal itself. So I called them just now to get a price on just the pedal and he said he can sell it to me but that I would definitely need the entire assembly for a G35. Does anyone know if this is true? (On the Max all I needed to do was wrap the bar that clips to the pedal in a bit of electric tape to thicken it up...I'm thinking this should be the same.) Thanks for any help.

Also, has anyone tried the 2 billet inserts for the lower bumper that courtesyparts sells to match the grill? If so, do they fit well? Any issues with rubbing or scratching the paint?

So the aluminum pedal can clip right onto the existing bar right? That's exactly how the Maxima was...I had a feeling there was no need for a whole $140 assembly.

Dude that's a sick setup you have there too...here I thought I was a bada$$ because I have an SNES emulator for my PS2 but one on the dash?!?!

thanks.. its been over 2yrs since i did the install but as i remember it was a matter of taking off the old pedal covers (rubber) and replacing them with the new ones (rubber+metal). not much to it. there may have been some other accessories but everything was included in the oem nissan package.

one thing i DO remember very, very, very well how hard it was to get the new pedals on but here- ill save you a ton of time: use wd40! alternatively i hear that you can put the pedal in a pot of hot water to soften the rubber.
