They don't Like US!
Anyone who drives a car for the "prestige" factor is an idiot in my opinion. God forbid there be something about the car you liked other than the brand name. Reminds me of some folks who get upset over putting a Nissan badge on a G as it "cheapens" things. I can't imagine what those Lexus brand ****** would say if they saw an IS350 with a T on it. lol

im not bashing on our G, but i know what it is and what it is not. no need to
bash on other cars. sure there are some ignorant lexus owners, but why are you lowering yourself to their level?
there are many different type of cars for diff needs and i totally appreicate that. Nissan is making more of driver orianted cars than Lexus and thats great. but Lexus is like Merc.. its more for the passangers than the drivers (except for the AMG goodies..those are pure sex on wheels).
appreciate what you have but respect others as well.. no car is perfect in this world. in fact, NOTHING is perfect in this world
oh, on a side note, i prob would take an IS350 over the G35 sedan or the E90 330i (if im buying a 4 door sedan). i dont know why, but the G sedan just always looks ugly. the first gen was pure nasty. the new 07 loooks alot better than the old model, but still doesnt do it for me. the front is more like the M, which is good, but the rear is, AGAIN, fugly. the interior is nicer quality, but the design is ..blah. its still no lexus. it's prob a better "driver's" car than the IS, but the looks just doesnt do it.. but good thing they made the coup..lol.
now, G35 Coup is totally on a diff level appearance-wise. our G35c is just wayyy sexy. its better looking than most cars on the rd..that i know
sure its not so great inside, but my 05 feels alot better than the 03/04 and im happy with it. i dont really need lexus like interior. i like the design of the 05/06 G interior.. its good enough for me.
hate the sterio and some rattles.. wish they can get rid of those.

I think it's great that ppl can be passionate about their cars. Every person has a reason why they drive the the car they own. Practicality, value, style. performance, size, 2 door , 4 door, economy, a combination of, or whatever. I'm going to show my age because my first car was a 1965 Mustang GT/289 Hi-Performance (I bought my senior year in HS 1968) and I was passionate about that car. My second car a 1970 Datsun 510 (Nissan) lowered, flaired fenders, bored, new pistion etc. and I was passionate about that car.
Well, I won't go any farther otherwise I'd write a book. I've had many cars over the years, 2 Porsches, 1 Corvette, 1 Mercedes, 1 BMW, 4 Nissans, Acura TL, 2 SUV, 2 vans, 1 pickup, etc etc and more. Some I was more passionate than others, none the less they all served a purpose. Cars are like life, it's ever changing that's whats makes everything interesting.
I'm passionate about my 06 G coupe as much as my Mustang and who know what lies around the next corner. Could it be a Lexus, Honda, BMW, another Infiniti, I don't know. What I do know is whatever it is I will have passion for it and have respect for others because I know they have their reasoning for their choice.
After 56 years, I'm truly grateful and I don't take it for granted that I've been able to indulge myself with some wonderful cars and the ppl that I have met along the way that also enjoy the same interest. CARS, CARS, AND MORE CARS.

why they talkin **** on us??? we dont do that, we say we'de take the G over the IS but we dont bash their cars. lexus is a very nice car but that thread makes them seem like bmw owners who are too stuck up with themselves because they think they drive the be all end all of cars.
this pisses me off so much, but hey, given the choice between a 40k is350 and a 32k g35 6mt coupe, ide take the g35 anyday, i couldnt be happier. tell me what they are paying 8k extra for??? oh ya, the right to brag thattheir cars cost more, i honesty cant stop thinking of this and comparing them with the typical bmw owner.
btw, i own a classic bmw but im not stuck up by any means about it, i love the G35 and the bmw both but i never put down other cars, just the people who drive them...
**** them if they wanna talk **** about our cars

As a IS350 owner, I like the G35 and I have never bashed it as it took me quite a while to choose the Lexus over the G35 coupe. G35 coupe is a good looking car with sufficient power as well. The new G35 sedan is nice too, but like most people- I'm waiting for the new G35 coupe. I agree with what others had said, no standard HIDs for the IS350 is dumb but it can be solved through aftermarket. As long as you are enjoying the car you worked your a$$ for to buy, that's all it counts.

After bearing witness to this thread, I just fealt it necessary to applaud you guys on this board. I myself am an IS350 owner with great hopes and a fondness for the upcoming G35, but while I can't speak for other IS owners, I must agree with the post quoted above. What's also interesting, is the fact that among the BMW/Lexus/Infiniti criticisms and rivalry that is all too prevalent, I must say that I'm pleased to see that quite a few of the comments in this thread showcase what appears to be a better, if not best understanding of how the Lexus vs Infiniti brand works, that I've seen in a while with regard to their respective approaches to "premium car design" as someone stated earlier. In the aspiration for both brands to best their european competition, I personally favor more luxury in my purchasing decision when it comes to sedans (which I feel is a rather poorly represented criteria among the automotive press), but only hope to see this upcoming G35 best the 3-series in performance competition, for what I feel will really put japanese competition even further on the map in all areas. Sadly, there will be a few boneheads on any car forum for any brand, but I just felt like commenting on some of the great attitudes here.

Keep driving *thumbsup*
