? +5 /= -10 ? lol

I just looked at this link. the V5 Kenitix Plenum states below it gained 5hp and 5tq. Do a search on the SSV... everyone shows and proves it is not an effective plenum unless you are FI. I would not consider a 5hp/5tq gain a 10hp lose? I paid $187 for my V5 Kenitix Plenum ... 5bhp/5btq for $187 is pretty freakin good for our cars.

Dyno 1 = STOCK
Dyno 2 = Ported Lower Plenum
Dyno 3 = Ported Lower Plenum + JWT intake
Dyno 4 = Ported Lower Plenum + JWT intake + V5 Kinetix Plenum
Dyno 5 = Ported Lower Plenum + JWT intake + V5 Kinetix Plenum + Ported Throttle Body
Dyno 6 = Kinetix SSV + JWT intake + Ported Throttle Body

Dyno 1 STOCK we managed to pull 238HP/224TQ not bad base line
Dyno 2 241HP/228TQ
Dyno 3 244HP/226TQ
Dyno 4 243HP/229TQ
Dyno 5 244HP/229TQ Ported Throttle body did not do much
Dyno 6 242HP/221TQ As you see the SSV lost HP over the V5 and alot of TQ

Well Klumzyee,

I must admit. What I read from that ONE topic convinced me to just get the Stillen Z-Tube and a drop in K&N replacement filter. Ya know, I am the kind of person that wants to BELIEVE that an intake actually does something coming from a 03 Mustang Cobra (that car picked up 14rwhp from an INTAKE change), but there are just WAYYYY too many people on here stating that the same "effect" can be achieved with the Z-Tube and K&N, and just not enough factual data supporting the fact that an intake actually produces horsepower/torque. I know an intake "sounds" way better, but I am not the type of person who will pay over $200 for just SOUND. That is what we call "ricey" here in NJ, and there is WAYYYY too much of that crap up here.

So thanks Mr. Klumzyee, you just saved me about $150.

Don

noo intake on a mustang is different.. a K&N cone drop in on a stang can make a worth $ increase on the dyno but the OEM Nissan filters are VERY good flow. also the design of the intake box is amazing. a Filter swap alone will not give you much of an increase in hp, especially if your loosing the air box.

what these guys talking about is actually swaping the whole lower collector that houses the runners. if you play with old school carb motors its like making your stock intake manifold to a high rise intake manifold

That I know, so I decided just to get the K&N and Stillen Z-Tube for the "sound", oh well. It was cheap enough.....

Not expecting anything.....horsepower wise...
