Track setup 5Zigen FN01R-C pics

Just got my 5Zigen FN01R-C rims in with tires, so I thought I'd throw up some pics of my track setup. Here are the pics of my 5Zigen FN01R-C rims (17x9 +35mm on all 4 wheels). I've got them wrapped in Falken Azenis RT-615 245/45R17 all around. I went with a size that would fit front and back so I could rotate the tires around. Plus after reading that sport compact car article, running the same size tire all around helped balanced out any understeer. I think this setup along with my sway bars and BBK should be enough for me to fully enjoy myself at the track. Maybe I should have gone with an R-compound like the RA-1, but I've been told by some people to get a little more practice before stepping up to those. Not sure if it's really that important, but the price was right for these, so I figured this would work for now. Maybe my next set will be something a little more hardcore.

Anyway, this rim and tire setup clears my 13" StopTech kit with ease and has room on the upper control arm in the front. I didn't take any pics of the rear since there's tons of space back there to stuff more tire/rim. Hopefully this will help some of you looking for an inexpensive setup for the track. The tires ran about $117 a piece so again, for the price this is quite sticky of tire that won't cost me a ton. My stock 19's were about $200 per tire if I went with Toyo T1-Rs.

more pics. The last 2 show the wheel clearance of the tire/rim with the upper control arm. If I wanted to stuff 275s all around, I think I would have to add a 10 or 15mm spacer. Maybe 255s all around might work, but then rubbing issues might come into play.

Very nice. Looks like you're ready for some serious business. Your car almost looks like one of those prototypes they run on the Nurburing. Just put a nose mask on and the look would be complete!

275's will clear on a 30mm offset. With 245's your kinda under tired for what I think your planning on doing.

I think you're right in thinking you'll need spacers to accomodate wider tires. I'm running 275/40/17 tires all around on my 17x9 track wheels. They're +27 offset though.

Thanks for the advice. I bought my rim/tire set from Edgeracing.com. I'll think about picking up some spacers and putting 275s all around once these tires are worn.

how much did you pay for the rims? I see them for $200 each, did you get cheaper than that? I want to get some track wheels/tires and this looks like a pretty good economical setup...thanks
