So I take my car in to the dealer because I needed a headlight warranty replaced due to a crack inside. While I was there, I mentioned that my tranny crunches when I shift into 3rd when that car is cold. Anyways, they said they would road test it, I didnt think they would do anything since its not that big of a deal..... BUT, I get a call and the lady says "Well, looks like we are going to have to replace your transmission, we heard some strange metallic rattling noise when we road tested it coming from the transmission."

so... im like, oh ok.. (not knowing what the hell she was talking about), sounds good.

Then I remembered I keep a steel retractable police baton in my glove box that rattles occasionaly over potholes etc. :0)

New tranny woot! lol

Why would you want a new tranny if the old one wasn't broke? Is the new tranny much better than the older one? Just wondering because my 03 6MT is rough sometimes, rattles here and there but it's not slipping.

ah, well i believe mines the first version, the one im getting is 7th version so hopefully its improved hehe
