IMO...K&N filters don't really save money and time because #1: OEM filter costs $7.20 vs K&N $39.95. That means it'll take you 5-1/2 times replacing the oem to get your money's worth of the K&N (82,500 miles). #2: K&N recharger kit costs $9.95 and I don't even know how many times one kit will clean. #3: Definitely not time saving because you'll have to remove it carefully not to damage the K&N filter, wash it, oil it up and put it back in. Don't forget if you use too much oil, it could get your MAF sensor going crazy.
I bought the damn thing since people reported getting better mileage and boy I swear I'm getting like 10 miles less with the K&N. Oh well...

Next time you're chaning your oil, let it drain for about three seconds and then catch a small sample.
