Coupe Engine Cover GRRRRRR

Well all you oil changing brothers and sisters, even you that just happen to drop a simple screw driver or socket extension down onto 'IT': there are now 21 count them TWENTY ONE bolts and yes the one plastic clip that now hold the plastic engine cover tray in place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aren't we lucky?
Man just when you thought you couldn't get any luckier (for those of us who had Sedans and already contended with 14 bolts and 1 clip) it happened: They found places for another 6.
................Enjoy................

Hey Gsedanman,
Sounds like you need to get a air compressor and driver. Just think, more stuff for them to leave off at the dealer when they do the oil change.

Re: Coupe Engine Cover GRRRRRR

Hey Merlin, Right now the bolts and plastic clip are all there and reinstalled. I figure at a loss of 1 or 2 a visit that the cover would be dragging on the ground inside a year! LOL
I do my own oil changes and as much else as I can handle.Only diff. in recent years is electronics and Comp stuff.
Wish I could afford $6k for a CONSULT 2. Maybe we could all get together and chip in. haha.
By the way- how many pics can be posted to Rides section when I re-do mine in the Spring?
Also give me a critique of the pic in the "Coupe Camber" Thread.(Coupe General). Hard to get the detail and close enough. Was it good enough, or suggestions?
Did you dicide that the "Coupe Camber" thread is in the right Forum?.........Thanks............

Re: Coupe Engine Cover GRRRRRR

Thought the CONSULTII was $4,500, anyway too expensive for now. just wondering if one of those other 'testers' will work. Hmmmmmh.
Don't know if there is a limit to the pics on the "Rides". But Godzilla can authorize you for posting to the "Gallery".
The camber pic was fine and detailed enough. looks like you got the hang of the new camera.

Re: Coupe Engine Cover GRRRRRR

Next time I'm at the shop I'll ask about other testers. Would be cheaper no doubt. That $6k price is Canadian bucks. If it's 4500US then it's gone up--$6800 CDN.
Thanks for help on posting pics. 'Now' it's easy. hahahaha
