For the money is there a better Coupe out there new or used then the G35?

I am thinking of buying a 05 G35 coupe. I really like the car but I am torn between a G35 and a Supra. I am sure it is obvious that I have a lot to learn about both cars. The question I would like to ask you guys is this: If you had the opportunity to do it all over again is there a car you guys would rather have besides the G that can be had for a similar price? I still remember the first time I saw a G35 it passed me up when I was coming home from a fishing trip towing my boat.(2 years ago) I was so impressed with it that I stayed with it as much as I could so I could see it some more. The lines of this car to me are sick. I remember saying "Damn what is that" out loud. Is there some other cars I should be looking at before I pull the trigger?

Our G's are our G's. Hate them or love them, I'm still sticking with mine. The supra is a sick car. I always wanted my first car to be a supra...till the G came out. It's personal appeal that you need to decide upon. I'll eventually pick up a supra to mess around with, but I'm very happy with the G for now.

If you have 30+k, i would buy a built supra. If you plan on building it yourself, be prepared to pay 15-20k for the car, and at least another 20-30k on the motor, to make it pretty fast(10 secs). 30k in our car will put you in the low 12's.

supra is u want alotta power and speed. G's are pretty slow especially if u compare to supras, but it moves alright. it has more luxury, more sex appeal than pretty much anything on the rd (excluding those exotics obviously).
the only problem with the G is that there are soooooo many of them.

if you got the $$...i would also consider a slightly used E46 M3. that thing is still sexy as hell.

Supra is a drag queen. It goes like hell in a straight line, and does look good on the outside. But why pay 30K+ for a rather old used car. I didn't see any better coupes out there. Luxury coupes ~35K are rare enough that it's a small market. If you want to take on another 15K, you can get a decent benz roadster/coupe, an M3, a 335i, an M coupe, and probably a few others but at 35K you have slim pickings.

I think comparing the supra and the G is like apples and oranges. entirely different benefits to each. if you want just pure speed than there are other options beoynd the G.

HAHA its kind of funny that you post this...I was just about ready to sell my coupe the other day and buy a supra i had one picked out and everything. Personally i love the supra its been by far my favorite car for about 6 years, since i got into cars. There are so many mods out for them its endless. I decided to stick with the G35 though, i figured the money i would dump into the supra trying to get it to run like new again would be a pretty good chunk of change and i would just turbo charge the G instead. The G with a turbo is not a slow car. Looking at 12 seconds from what i have heard and seen.

Supra Twin turbo Used or G35 coupe New with after market turbo?

I would take the G

comparing a g with a supras is like apples and oranges. The only car i would say makes a good comparison with the G is an m3, which in the end id take the m3. But a supra isnt luxury, its old, and its something that you just make fast...but def exclusive....clk55 amgs arent bad either but there not my style.

I am going to look into the NSX's too. I don't know anything about them so I will have to research it. I thought I heard they were pretty heavy and I don't know how fast they are.
