Great mod. What did you use for the ring? you shape it yourself or did you just happen to find a perfect fit? Spill the beans!

Some aftermarket company ought to make aluminum gauge rings for the G. I did this to my '91 300ZX with aftermarket gauge rings which are still available for a car that hasn't been sold in the US for 10 years now.

Thanks caster - Helps with the taking the console apart piece, but I don't think it says where to get the silver rings or how to apply them...
