Passenger door lock messed up!

Does anyone else have this problem? My passenger door lock will not unlock/lock when I try to unlock or lock it 95% of the time. I can see it trying to move the lock but it just does unlock/lock it like it used to. I have now switched to having a non-power passenger side lock lol. My car is out of warranty and wondering if someone has had a quick fix for something like this either that or it must be broke somehow. I took my door apart and looked for anything out of the ordinary but to no avail.

The door lock actuator has gone bad. It's not a hard repair. Just pay attention & take your time. The hardest part is re-aligning your window after you take it off the regulator but, if you mark the bolt location before you remove them it will get you closer faster.

can you actually repair the actuator? or are you talking about just replacing it with a new one? let me know if its something repairable or do i need to buy a new lock actuator the dealership told me a new "door latch" costs 211$.

By any chance do you have a part number for this? You said it's an easy repair so it sounds like you have done it before. I looked at it today and it does not seem like I can even get to the area that it is. I took off the aluminum plating and looked to where the cables are coming from but can not get any further. Can you somewhat guide me on what to do and where the cheapest you found the piece. Thanks.
