Is it bad to be driving and then change it to the sports shift? Are there advantages for using the sports shift too? Thanks for helping out.

 

I think you're talking about manual mode on the automatics. If you are then no it's not bad to change into MM while driving. Some advantages, you can get the car into 5th gear faster for better gas mileage... or at the opposite end of the spectrum... you can control the car and take it all the way up to redline if you want. Depends on how fast you want to go and how bad you want your gas mileage to be.

I use manual mode 80% of the time while driving.
