What kind of options are on the car? Maybe it had options that nobody wanted to buy so they had a hard time selling it. If it was a stripped down model (no sunroof, leather seats, etc.) it might have been impossible to sell.

I'm not sure, but it seems to me like the first date is when the car was made, then one dealer sold it to another at an auction, then this one to yet another one, and the last one is just selling it not at an auction. If the car is 2004, than I don't see a problem other than the vehicle being sold and resold a few too many times this year.

Oh, one more thing. The original manufacture date would have put the car at the very end of the 2004 model year, and as well all know, the interior of the car was drastically different between the 03-04 models and the 05+ models. Maybe they had a hard time sellling it when there were (in the potential buyers opinion at least) nicer models on the way.

I would be concerned with it being a rebuilt water-damaged car. You should be able to find it's port-of-origin. If so, at least you'll know if it was down south.

Well that shoots a hole in my theory. I think the showroom/demo explanation is plausible, but it still doesn't explain why it was put up for auction twice in a four month period. Usually car dealerships only auction vehicles that they can't sell or trade-ins that they don't want to resell themselves.

True^. Again, at least check on the port-of-origin. Seems like they put that on the window sticker now.

The dealer says it's a showroom model. That's great, but where was the original dealership that it was delivered to? Baton Rouge, Houston, Beaumont, etc? Does it matter to you if the showroom in question was under water? At least try to rule out that it came from a flooded region before making a move on it.

A southern port-of-entry, followed by auctions well north, would raise red flags to me. Those cars are going to be sold somewhere, and it's not going to be in the same southern states that were flooded.

I hope it turns out to be a good buy and works out well for you.

i feel like they could have lowered the price enough that it gets sold higher than auction price. 04 or not. it sounds to me like the car was damaged and fixed. maybe someone test driving it hit something? or maybe it was damaged in some other way. it just sound rather fishing to me. I would not take a chance on it considering how big of an investment a car is.

thanks guys!! i checked the frame and there are no sight of frame damaged.. btw how do i check the port of origin? i almost put down deposit another day. Would there be any records if car was flooded? Car has around 11000 miles right now, dealer said someone from infiniti drove it as a demo car, and they bought it from infiniti dealers only sorta auction. Should i do it, are they talking BS? please offer me some advices. Thanks again guys!!!

Hahaha, like that one G35 from Infiniti of Orlando which was sold, and a saleperson smashed it into a stop sign before the owner took delivery?
