Help with tires and rims...
Well im thinking of getting a set of rims. I want to get 19's, but i dont want to slow the car down that much so i wanted to go with 18's. The problem is the 18s for some reason look so much smaller than the 19's. Is there that big of a difference between the 2, or is it the actual tire sidewall size that makes them look bigger?
I want to get 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 in the rear. It says the recommend tire sizes are 225/45/18- front and 265/40/18- rear. 225 sounds to small for the front though...? Also, does anyone know of a company that makes the tire sidewall a size 30? i think 30 would be perfect for the 18s.....

I don't think it is a good idea to get 30 profile it 18's - thats a very low profile used mostly with 19 or 20 inch wheels and I think they would make your 18's look even smalled, plus drop your car so you would end up bottoming out more often.
I say you should get 19"s 245/40 front and 275/40 rear - same profile as stock 19"s. This will give you a little more cusion than the 35 profile most guys are running with 19's. Get a nice lip and you wont have to worry about your wheels looking small.
