Anytime i deal is done through western union its a scam...not always but most of the time. Also they always say they are out of the country on business trips.

Notice on autotrader.com when people list fake cars instance a supra twin turbo with 800 hp and all these upgrades for 7grand...they will say the car is in england and that they need 2000 upfront for shipping coverage via western union......

scam dont do it unless its cash in your hands.

Classic Nigerian scam. The $4500 check will bounce about a week after you have already given him the rims AND the difference in cash.

the way it works is if u dont deposit the check he gets nothing
if u do deposit the check when itr clears he will send a independant transporting company to come pick up the car (who doesnt even know whats going on), u give him the balance of the $1500 or whatever it cost to ship your car & title & that $hlt is on the next boat to wherever.
a week later banks says check was fraud take back the money & your out whatever u gave the shipper & your dam car
-now if try & be slick & deposit the money & dont ship the car when the bank finds out its fraud you will be investigated!! either way u loose

it happened to a friend of mine 3yrs ago he sold his S2K for $17k to one of them a$$hole$ & ended up loosing his dam car, it was a pity to see a grown a$$ man cry
once it was overseas police or feds couldnt do nothing about it

& that member was right the investigator did say it was some nigerian scam

I've had good luck selling on Craiglist, normally I use it for locals and state that clearly in the ad. Avoid the shipping crap.
But if you are willing to ship within the US, then the marketplaces on various Innfiniti forums is the way to go.

^^I wouldnt be soo sure on that. When I was trying to sell my wheels on here , some guy in Germany was intrested on them. Asked me if I can ship it overseas. Now, I said to myself why would anyone wants to waste all that money on shipping when they can buy it locally there for cheaper. Then he continue with the same scam tactics bullsh!t. What a douchebag that guy had 0 post. He acutally registered on here just to scam me.

Next time anyone from Europe/oversease want to buy **** *-Delete Mail-*

What I want to know is where the heck you have been the last few years? This is the textbook scam. Money order is fake and you lose the item and the money you deposit. Anytime anyone pays for more than you are asking and pays with a money order it is a SCAM... Now you know.

I can't believe people are still falling for this today.
