Question about 2003 G35 coupe
Question about 2003 G35 coupe
Hi, I am new to this forum and I was thinking about purchasing a G35. Do you guys think that 85 thousand miles on a 2003 G35 coupe is too much. If yes could you list some of the problems that could arise. If this were any other car besides a japanese car I would have my doubts but I know they have good reputations for long lives. I would be paying 18,900$ and it has leather and a power moon roof. Thanks alot.

I recommend taking it to your mechanic and check over the car and always run the vin and check the history and wheres it from. If its from place where Katrina hit DO NOT GET IT most likely it's flooded. If the cars an auto, alway have the transmission checked.

...too many miles for a used G! I have a 2003, bought it on 1 Dec 2002...just turned 22K miles. Now, that's because it's not my daily, and I only drive it occassionally. But still, 83K is alot of miles, especially on a car that was meant to be driven hard. IMHO...you'd be potentially buying into alot of risks...

But then again - - How much are they asking? Is it an Infiniti/Nissan Dealer? Will it be your daily or are you looking to buy a "mod" car? Alot of questions, but just trying to get a feel for what you're expecting from the car...
It is a nissan dealership. It would be a daily car but but i would probably only put on around 10k miles a year. And they are asking 18,900 do you think I could talk them down from that?

^^ That may be a good idea depending on what that would still cover. I drive the **** out of my 03 but I still only have 36K on it, I plan on getting rid of it around 50K to a "reputable dealer"
If your getting the car, extended warranty is def worth is. Low deductable always helps. make sure you get the best coverage powertrain/ electrical/ a/c coverage. Parts on our cars are pretty hefty.
