Its also a pretty big difference in performance. 0-60 in 4.8 is pretty quick (not to mention a HUGE difference in steering feel and snob appeal)

An almost fully loaded G35 (next gen) will cost around a base $IS350. I think these 2 cars are different enough in price to be a fully apple to apple comparison.

BTW, the 2007 Z will probably be significantly quicker than the G35 and IS350...VQHR in a car that weighs 300lbs less.

yeah, really trying to hold myself back from trading my IS350 in for a 335i, pref used so I don't take the new car hit (like I did with my IS). Maybe next spring.....

went to drag strip today in palmdale which is
2,710 ft. above sea level.
To figure the altitude factor the formula is as follows:

ET: multiply your et (at LACR) by .97
MPH: multiply your mph (at LACR) by 1.03
This will give you the ET & MPH at sea level.
and raced the IS350 with his traction off completely (too complicated to explain how to turn it off) ofcoarse my VDC was off and my best run was 14.788 at 94.496mph and his best run was 14.1 at 96mph. I have intake and custom exhaust and the IS350 just has custom exhaust. So it is a faster car than a 6MT g35.
my best 60 time was at that run which was 2.237 with goodyear eagle f1 dsg3s.

Side note: his first run he did 14.9 with my friend and his girlfriend inside the car (3 people total). LOL

well when i had 14.9 @94 run racing the IS350 side by side he had a 14.4 @96 run. I won the race because i had a better launch and reaction time at that particular run. But he was right next to me by 90, so if we kept going till, for example 130mph, he would pass me with ease. Thing i have noticed on the street is that if the car is faster or slower 0.5-0.8 seconds 1/4 mile then there is a good possibility the slower car will win till certain mph. Same exact thing happened to the WRX STI i raced at the dragstrip. I won the race but he had a better time.
Every millisecond counts in a race.......

Wow i had no idea the paddle shifters were that responsive, next time im in his car i need to drive and feel this difference, and i thought they were 0-60 in 5.6 which i figured quarter mile in 14 flat, i guess i was wrong what an underrated car. How much WHP does a G35 coupe have 2004?

mine has 246whp on dynojet. Its not the paddle shifting that does the job for the IS350, its the actuall power and the gearing that it produces from that sweet engine. The fastest time that the IS got was in auto mode.

Run over to one of the few dealership that has the New sport model Sedan with the padel shifters. Now, let's see the IS350 beat that car....

next time when there is a group of you all together make everyone get in the IS since it's a 4 door. then leave him and don't look back.
LOL

j/k i like both cars. if i had to buy a sedan i'd buy the is350 right now...
