everyone should look under the engine covers CUZ..

Ok friday I had my basslink installed and as the kid was running a wire to the battery we see a mouse run from the corner of the car where the quarter panel meets where the windsheild wipers sit. The mouse then saw us then ran back in. We got a light and saw him in their then he took off under the plastic where my wipers are. Now I was very pissed and thought about all the horrible things that could happen to my car with a mouse living in it. I took off the engine manifold cover and not to my suprise I see acorns and shells, and mouse [censored]. Now I am really pissed and I am out of ideas to get this thing out of my car so I called my dealer and he told me to bring the car down saturday morning. So I got their and we looked under the cover and he got a tech and he said we can do one of 2 things. Either take the car apart which I declined, or he said if I buy some moth ***** and put them in the engine in a few places the mice will get out by themselves.

So everyone who lives where it is starting to get cold take off the cover, get a light and search in your engine becuase he said it was common in some parts at this time of year. ill let you guys know if the mouse eats a hole in my stillen intake and i suck him up and blow up my engine. Sorry for me venting but this was not a problem I thought I would encounter when I made the switch from lexus to infiniti

Probably a rogue spy for Honda. He broke free of powering a VTEC engine and wants to run with the big boys

Thats pretty funny. Too bad it's not a hamster instead of a mouse. Otherwise you can catch it and sell it to a RX-8 owner. A hamster in the engine manifold of that hamster-wheel powered rotary engine should give the RX-8 about a 8 to 10 horsepower gain.

Don't laugh, similar thing happened to me. I had mice living in my 300zx's mufflers AND in my Yamaha R1's exhaust and intake. I noticed the car when smoke was coming out of 1 muffler and not the other. Thought I blew something, but then realized it was dog food burning (kept dry dog food in garage). When I went home I started my bike and hit my father w/flying dog food when I revved it. I covered the motorcycle exhaust and then in the springtime it wouldn't start. I was like "what the F*ck!". Took the airbox apart and the whole cylinder shaped air-filter was full to the top w/dog food, no air was getting in. Needless to say, mouse-killing pellet food was left for them. Problem solved!

Hmmm... So let me get this straight...

You did not even contemplate the "mouse infestation issue" when you made the big move from Lexus to Infiniti...? Well, I guess that was *your* mistake.

I have read much over the years about the mouse infestation problems suffered by hordes of hapless Infiniti owners. I don't know how all these poor unfortunates have managed to miss the inherent rodent repellent qualities of Lexus automobiles.

Let this be a lesson to us all! :-)

Check all your electrical cables (really anything rubber)cause they will nibble on them and short you out.
Sounds funny? Try having your electrical harness replaced! That happened to a friend and his A4.
Maybe they only like German rubber.
