Tint...South Florida...
I just picked up my 6MT today, and need to get tint living down here in Fort Lauderdale/Boca Raton. First anyone have any suggestions on tint in general? Places to recommend? Cost?

Gino's Auto Tint: NW corner of 441 & Atlantic Blvd in Margate--Did a great job on my old car. Haven't gotten the G done yet though.

i live in MD right now where 35% is legal limits but never got pull over for tints yet.. any sign of cop trouble if i move there? and if i remember correctly, when i lived jax FL 4years ago i hardly see the cops mabye once or twice a day compare to i see 7+ a day in MD...

They don't usually hassle you but they DO like seeing into the car. If they stop you for speeding or something else they more than likely will give you a fix it ticket. So just roll the windows down if you can.

I always roll my windows down in the rare event I get pulled over, but last time (in my old car), they had to be @$$holes about it and still cited me (first time in the 5 years I had the car and tint) for having 18% in the front; they said the legal limit was 28%. I'm fighting every dumb citation they gave me that morning w/ a ticket lawyer.

I'm not sure if brands matter. At the very least, just make sure you get one with a lifetime warranty

Getting tint is SoFla myself....
I am going to get Huper Optik film. Max they carry is 30%. Only certified installed is Solar Tint, Inc., contact person is Robert Flores, phone# 305-663-4663. They quoted me $275 for my coupe or $250 if I brought in multiple cars (thinking of bringing in my wife's Murano too).
By the way, what part of Fort Lauderdale/Boca do you frequent and what color do you have? I live in Wilton Manors and work just south of downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Me? I tend to frequent downtown Ft. Lauderdale and its beaches on weekends, but I live and work out near Coral Springs/Tamarac... I don't have tint as of yet, but $275 sounds kinda pricey to me. Granted, it was 5 years ago that I had it done on my old car, but I only paid $150 for a similar-sized 2-door car and a darker shade than 30% (see link in sig. for pics).
